This assignment requires students to review the available literature on how events can and do contribute to community development with a particular emphasis on how events contribute to both the different capitals that make up destination community well-being and to sustainable tourism within the destination region. It builds on the concepts and readings presented in class in weeks 1 through 4, and requires critical analysis and synthesis of additional relevant published materials. It should be written in the style of a systematic/thematic literature review. Examples of such reviews elsewhere will be provided.
